The JR-West Rail Pass is an economical and useful pass for fully enjoying Western Japan.
 
JR West Rail Pass - SANYO - The pass holder has unlimited use of any standard trains and Haruka non-reserved seats within the corresponding area.　  JR West Rail Pass - KANSAI- The passenger has unlimited use of Haruka, Shinkansen, and standard trains within the corresponding area.

Sanyo Area Pass
This pass allows for unrestricted boarding and un-boarding, within the designated area of the following trains operated by West Japan Railway Co. (JR West): "Nozomi", "Hikari", and "Kodama" Sanyo Shinkansen super express trains, "Haruka" limited express trains, ordinary-class cars on local trains (reserved and non-reserved seats), and the Miyajima ferry line in Hiroshima.
Prices are based on a fixed yen price and fluctuate according to the current exchange rate. The following are those fixed yen prices. Prices are subject to change.

Kansai Area Pass
This pass allows unlimited travel, within the designated area, using non-reserved seats in ordinary-class cars on local trains operated by JR-West (including rapid-express and new rapid-express trains). This pass cannot be used for Shinkansen trains. When boarding limited-express and express trains other than Shinkansen trains, a ticket for the additional charges for these trains must also be purchased separately.

2. Validity
 1. You must exchange your Exchange Order for a JR West Rail Pass within three months from the date of issue.
 2. 1-Day validity period: 1 day
     2-Day validity period: 2 consecutive days
     3-day validity period: 3 consecutive days
     4-day validity period: 4 consecutive days
     8-day validity period: 8 consecutive days
  3. Once a Pass' starting date has been set, it cannot be changed.    
 
3. Period of Validity
You must exchange your Exchange Order for a West Rail Pass within 3 months from the date of issue. At that time, you must specify the date that you want to start using the pass. It can be any date within one month from the date the pass is received. Once the pass has a starting date written on it, the date cannot be changed. (If the passenger is traveling between stations (e.g., on a night train) when the pass expires, the pass is valid for the day following the expiration date.)
